Eatin' all the cheese

I have spent the last couple of weeks scouring the Interwebs for TV and radio that reminds me of home. And I have found all sorts of things – Clive James shows from the 80s, I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue, Time Team (with its introverted geophysicists!). But by far the best t'ing was the new sensation taking over de nation - Rastamouse.

My discovery of the eponymous hero and his gang, Da Easy Crew, precipitated a weekend of trying to talk in Patois in a dubious Caribbean accent. I also found myself experiencing a strong desire to listen to Musical Youth; that is to say, regressing deep into my childhood. This is a place where long-dormant memories of Floella Benjamin on Play School hang out with Delbert Wilkins. It's wicked, man!

Episode 1 tells the story of a staggering level of criminal activity - someone has stolen all of the cheese! Luckily, our hero is able to devise a pie-based plan to identify and nab the culprit, and even rehabilitate him back into society. Awesome.
